Anu Getgen, was born and raised in Maui County and graduated from Kamehameha Schools Kapālama. After high school, she moved to southern California where she attended college and graduate school, obtaining degrees in Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy. Her experience at various positions that she has held, has primarily been working with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma.  Anu has been working for Kamehameha Schools for the past 7 years, most recently as the KSM Behavioral Health Manager. Anu states, “I feel passionate about giving back and working with our Native Hawaiian youth and community. In my free time I enjoy baking, gardening, and spending time with my husband, two daughters, and our English Bulldog, Penelope!”
